Accounting and Finance reflect where a business has been. I believe finance leaders must move beyond the numbers and serve as forward-looking strategic business partners.
    — Troy Schroeder, CFO

Forgen is pleased to announce the appointment of Troy Schroeder as Chief Financial Officer. Troy brings more than 25 years of experience leading financial strategy, systems implementation, and organizational transformation within the construction industry. He joins the company at a pivotal stage as Forgen continues to execute its long-term growth strategy.

Throughout his career, Troy has helped to build and scale organizations by aligning finance, operations, and technology to support disciplined growth, while exemplifying a servant leadership mindset and always putting the company and its people first.

Bruce Diettert, who has very successfully served as Forgen’s CFO since its inception, has planned to retire at the end of 2026. During this transition period, he will work closely with Troy, who in his initial months will focus on building his internal network at Forgen, assessing financial and operational processes, and engaging directly with project teams to become familiar with the highly specialized and technical work we perform. This planned overlap allows the organization to benefit from close collaboration between these two distinguished leaders and ensures the finance and accounting group remains well positioned to support the company’s continued growth.

“I am proud to have been part of Forgen’s growth and evolution and to have worked alongside a team that has met and overcome many challenges,” said Bruce Diettert. “Forgen is well positioned for future success, and I look forward to working closely with Troy and the team throughout 2026.”

Troy approaches the CFO role as a strategic partner to executive leadership and operations.  His leadership is grounded in a customer-service approach, with a focus on disciplined execution that supports enterprise performance. He brings a strong track record of positioning Finance and Accounting groups as not just transparent drivers of execution, but also as strategic business partners that help to shape the future of the organization.

A consistent theme in Troy’s career has been the design and implementation of scalable systems that strengthen execution and optimize efficiency as organizations grow. He has led major technology and KPI framework initiatives that connect daily performance with long-term strategy. These efforts ensure enterprise-wide alignment with the company’s strategic and financial priorities.

With deep experience in construction finance, Troy adds to the disciplined, cash-focused strategies at Forgen. He believes financial health is achieved through rigorous budgeting, strong collections, and project financing structures that support profitable operations. Troy brings a wealth of direct experience in the best practices of managing the financial, risk and insurance elements of running a contracting business and has been an active member of a number of regional and national industry associations.

Troy views culture and core values as treasured assets that represent a competitive advantage in every successful organization.  Troy’s strong alignment with Forgen’s core values will enable us to continue to elevate financial decision making relative to both customer and employee experience.   Troy is an accomplished people leader with direct experience in spearheading organizational leadership programs to develop the next generation of leaders in the industry, which aligns well with Forgen’s commitment to leadership excellence.
