Forgen promotes Steve Henderson to Senior VP and General Manager, Industrial/Heavy Civil
March 13, 2026
Forgen has promoted Steve Henderson to Senior Vice President and General Manager, Industrial/Heavy Civil, recognizing his leadership in expanding the company’s industrial operations.
Steve brings more than three decades of construction experience, including early years running his own construction business and advancing through field operations into executive leadership. In his new role, he will lead strategy, operations, and growth across Forgen’s Industrial/Heavy Civil Business Unit.
From Building Projects to Building Teams
Henderson began his career running his own construction business, where he developed an early understanding of client relationships, estimating, risk management, and the operational realities of delivering work. Those experiences shaped the practical leadership approach he carries today.
In his new role, Henderson’s focus extends beyond individual projects to building the teams that deliver them. His priority is assembling groups with the right balance of experience, technical capability, and leadership to execute complex work while upholding Forgen’s standards for safety, quality, accountability, and disciplined project delivery.
A Field-Rooted Leadership Perspective
Having advanced through field roles before moving into executive leadership, Henderson maintains a deep respect for the craft professionals and project teams who execute the work each day.
That experience continues to shape how he approaches leadership. When evaluating strategy, staffing, or execution planning, he considers how those decisions affect the teams responsible for delivering the work in the field.
“At the end of the day, we’re in the service industry. Our job is not only to build the work, but to deliver a client experience that exceeds their expectations.”
— Steve Henderson
Growing the Industrial/Heavy Civil Segment
In his new role, Henderson will oversee continued development of Forgen’s Industrial/Heavy Civil Business Unit while supporting project execution across the market.
His focus includes strengthening operational leadership, building and developing project teams, and maintaining a steady pipeline of opportunities. He is also working to strengthen collaboration between business development, estimating, and operations staff as projects move from pursuit into execution.
Forgen appreciates Steve’s leadership and the experience he brings to the organization. His practical perspective, operational discipline, and focus on building strong teams continue to support the company’s growth in the industrial market.
