Project Announcement: Delivering a Build-Ready Site for Data Center in Texas

    June 26, 2026

Forgen continues to expand its presence in the mission critical data center sector through ongoing site work supporting the Nexus Data Center project in Texas.

Developed by Nexus, a builder of next-generation digital infrastructure, the Nexus Data Center is a hyper-scale campus designed to support the rapidly growing demand for cloud, AI, and high-density compute workloads. The development is being built around a high-capacity, redundant power distribution backbone and the supporting utility infrastructure required for hyper-scale data storage and 24/7 mission critical operations, with multiple purpose-built data center facilities and associated support buildings planned across the site.

Our team is performing heavy civil construction and site infrastructure work to help prepare the site for accelerated vertical construction activities. Scope includes heavy-haul access roads, temporary-to-permanent roadways, laydown areas, truck staging, parking areas, and trailer city pads supporting active construction operations across the site.

Work includes clearing and grubbing, large-scale earth moving, mass grading, soil stabilization, geogrid stabilization, aggregate placement and compaction, drainage features, and related site preparation activities designed to support continuous heavy truck traffic and fast-paced site development designed to support future heavily loaded data center structures, generator yards, switchyards, and supporting infrastructure.

Projects like this reflect Forgen’s broader focus on delivering build-ready sites for complex industrial and mission critical developments across North America through self-performed heavy civil, geotechnical, and specialty civil construction services.
