Forgen, in collaboration with their sister company DRC, has announced a strategic partnership with Native Hawaiian organization Dawson to undertake Phase I of the Maui Wildfire Cleanup. This initiative focuses on hazardous site assessments for residential, public, and commercial properties affected by the recent wildfires in Lahaina and Kula, Maui, Hawaii, as part of the Hawaii Wildfire Response Debris Removal Support.
The project, which began on October 16, 2023, is set to complete the assessments of approximately 1580 properties within a 90-day period. The primary objective of this phase is to conduct initial assessments of properties impacted by the catastrophic wildfires that occurred in August in Maui.
Forgen and their partners will carry out comprehensive air monitoring and establish a surveillance plan aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of crews working within the hazard assessment areas. This collaborative effort marks a significant step in addressing the aftermath of the Maui wildfires and aiding the affected communities in their recovery process.
